Permits issued for the display of display fireworks shall be valid only for the display date indicated on the permit. If unforeseen conditions such as weather or high winds require a change in the display date, the fire chief and the licensing board of the municipality, or in the absence of a licensing board, the chief of police or governing body of the municipality, shall determine whether the permit shall be extended.
