1. (a) For the purposes of this section, “technical instruction” means instruction or training relevant to any certificate issued by this chapter.

2. (b) A certificate holder shall renew his/her certificate by submitting the following to the state fire marshal’s office:

   1. (1) A completed form DSFM 87;
   2. (2) The applicable fee; and
   3. (3) Evidence of successful completion of a minimum of 8 hours of technical instruction during the previous 24 months.

3. (c) For the purposes of (b)(1), a certificate holder applicant shall:

   1. (1) Comply with Saf-C 4904.02; and
   2. (2) Supply on DSFM 87 the certificate number of the last certificate issued pursuant to these rules.
