Reporting An Accident

- (a) Every accident involving a driver education vehicle while actively instructing driver education, shall be reported to the driver education supervisor, at the department of safety within 2 business days. The report shall be signed by the instructor.
- (b) All instruction shall be stopped if the vehicle has sustained damage that may affect the safe operation of the vehicle.
- (c) The report required by this section shall be in addition to and not in lieu of that required by RSA 264:25.
- (d) Each accident shall be reported by the instructor involved in the accident to the department by completing and submitting form DSMV 291, “Driver Education Accident Report” (rev 09/17).
- (e) The person completing form DSMV 291 shall sign and date the form under the penalty of unsworn falsification.
