(a) Each vessel agent shall maintain a record of all vessel registration certificates issued by the vessel agent, including:
- (1) Date of registration;
- (2) Last name of the registrant;
- (3) Vessel number; and
- (4) Decal number.
- (b) All records shall be maintained for a period of 5 years.
- (c) No vessel agent shall refuse or fail to provide the department, any auditor, or other authorized person, with any records relating to vessel registrations. The commissioner or the commissioner’s designee shall take the records in hand for inspection, as necessary to photocopy.
