1. (a) Dealer plates shall be affixed to any truck with a gross vehicle weight in excess of 10,000 pounds being used to transport goods for demonstration purposes for a period not to exceed 72 hours.
2. (b) Each dealer who affixes a dealer plate to a truck pursuant to (a) above shall submit a form DSMV 156 to the department.

3. (c) Each dealer shall furnish the following on DSMV 156:

   1. (1) Name and address of potential buyer;
   2. (2) Name and address of dealer;
   3. (3) Dealer plate number;
   4. (4) Date and time of issuance;
   5. (5) Make, type, model year, color and vehicle identification number of truck being demonstrated; and
   6. (6) Signature of dealer or authorized agent.

4. (d) A copy of DSMV 156 shall be:

   1. (1) Carried in the cab of the truck being demonstrated; and
   2. (2) Displayed upon request of any law enforcement officer or agent of the director.

5. (e) The dealer shall distribute form DSMV 156 within 5 days of the date of issuance as follows:

   1. (1) A copy shall be retained at the dealer’s authorized business location for a minimum period of 3 years; and
   2. (2) A copy shall be forwarded to the department.
6. (f) No dealer plate shall be issued to a truck for demonstration purposes pursuant to this section unless the truck is in compliance with all state inspection requirements.
7. (g) There shall be no extension of the 72 hour period.
8. (h) A dealer registration shall not be issued more than once in any 12-month period to the same person or business for the purposes of demonstrating the same truck, in accordance with RSA 261:111, VII.
