- (a) A type 3 magazine shall be fire-resistant, weather-resistant and theft-resistant. It shall be constructed of not less than 12 guage steel, lined with at least 1/2 inch plywood or 1/2 inch masonite-type hardboard.
- (b) Doors shall overlap sides by at least one inch. Hinges and hasps shall be attached by welding, riveting or bolting with the nuts on the inside.
- (c) One steel padlock, which need not be protected by a steel hood, having at least 5 tumblers and a case-hardened shackle of at least 7/16 diameter, shall be sufficient for locking purposes.
- (d) Explosive materials shall not be left unattended in type 3 magazines and shall be removed to a magazine approved for unattended storage.
