1. (a) In the event a power lift system is not adequate to load or unload pupils with special needs, a ramp device may be installed.

2. (b) Each ramp shall:

   1. (1) Be of sufficient strength and rigidity to support a special device, occupant, and any attendant;
   2. (2) Be equipped with a protective flange on each side to keep any special device on the ramp;
   3. (3) Have a floor made of non-skid construction; and
   4. (4) Be of such weight and design, and equipped with handle(s), to permit one person to put the ramp in place and return it to its storage place.
