- (a) Each system, if so equipped, shall be designed and installed in such a manner as to prevent injuries to the driver and any passenger in the event of a sudden stop.
(b) Audible navigation systems may be provided on a school bus which shall:
- (1) Be attached to the windshield or dashboard in a manner that does not obstruct the driver’s field of vision; and
- (2) Have a locking mechanism or equivalent that prevents the device from being programmed by the driver while the bus is in motion.
