- (a) A restraint system shall be provided for the driver which shall comply with the manufacturer's specifications.
- (b) Each school bus manufactured before January 1, 2005 shall be equipped with a locking retractor type seatbelt for the driver. Each belt section shall be booted to keep the buckle and button-type latch off the floor and within easy reach of the driver. The belt shall be anchored in such a manner or guided at the seat frame to prevent the driver from sliding sideways from under the belt.
- (c) Each school bus manufactured on or after January 1, 2005 shall be equipped with a restraint system consisting of a lap and shoulder belt for the driver.
