Each school bus which registers, by use of a meter, a level of carbon monoxide of 20 parts per million or greater inside the passenger compartment, shall not be operated until the defect is corrected and the school bus retested by a law enforcement officer for a level of carbon monoxide of less than 20 parts per million.
