In addition to the requirements of RSA 266:1, IX, each school bus used to transport pupils shall be subject to one or more inspections on an annual basis by a law enforcement officer or authorized agent of the director pursuant to RSA 266:7. The purpose of any inspection shall be to determine if a school bus is safe and fit for the transportation of pupils. The owner or driver of a school bus shall be required to have the vehicle available for inspection.
