Commissioner of Safety

The commissioner of safety is the chief executive officer of the department, which consists of:
(a) The following divisions:
- (1) The division of motor vehicles;
- (2) The division of state police;
- (3) The division of safety services;
- (4) The division of fire standards and training;
- (5) The division of administration;
- (6) The division of fire safety;
- (7) The division of emergency medical services; and
- (8) The division of information technology.
(b) The following bureaus:
- (1) Bureau of hearings; and
- (2) Bureau of common carriers.
