1. (a) In cases where full or partial salary is being paid, full creditable service shall be granted to recipients of sabbatical leave for the entire period of such leave and earnable compensation shall be credited at the rate actually paid to such sabbatical leave recipients, provided such recipients appear on the official payroll of the employer and that all necessary member and employer assessments be remitted to NHRS at the regular intervals already prescribed by the board of trustees pursuant to Ret 303.01.
2. (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of (a) above, a member shall not receive service credit for sabbatical leave unless the member meets the earnable compensation requirements of Ret 307.02(c).
