Prior to applying for licensure, applicants for initial licensure as a massage therapist shall pass:
- (a) The “Massage and Bodywork Licensure Examination” (MBLEx) offered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB); or
- (b) Any other written certifying examination recognized by at least one third of the states that require the licensure of massages therapists in order to practice therapeutic massage.
