For purposes of obtaining a license by endorsement in a profession regulated by the governing board of speech-language pathologists and hearing care providers, the current requirements of the licensing jurisdiction shall be as follows:

1. (a) For a speech-language pathologist:

   1. (1) A master’s degree in speech-language pathology, communications sciences and disorders, or communications disorders, or field deemed equivalent by the licensing jurisdiction, that includes a supervised academic clinical practicum;
   2. (2) Complete supervised postgraduate professional experience; and
   3. (3) Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology administered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or another examination for speech-language pathology deemed equivalent by the licensing jurisdiction;

2. (b) For an audiologist:

   1. (1) A doctoral degree with an emphasis in audiology from a national or regionally accredited college or university;
   2. (2) Complete clinical rotations in audiology from a national or regionally accredited college or university; and
   3. (3) Pass the Praxis Examination in Audiology administered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or another examination for audiologists deemed equivalent by the licensing jurisdiction.
3. (c) For a speech-language assistant, an associate’s degree in speech-language pathology, communications sciences and disorders, communications disorders, or a field deemed equivalent by the licensing jurisdiction; and

4. (d) For a hearing aid dealer:

   1. (1) Complete a state-approved training program; and
   2. (2) Pass a state-approved written and practical examination.
