1. (a) Each certified property assessor assistant, certified property assessor, and certified property assessor supervisor shall complete not less than 10 hours of approved continuing education for each year of the renewal period.

2. (b) Subject to (c), below, continuing education shall cover:

   1. (1) The uniform standards of professional appraisal practice, in a course or workshop;
   2. (2) NH real estate law, in the NH state statutes course Part 1or Part II, or the one-day state statutes update provided by DRA or NHAAO; or
   3. (3) Any other topic that is relevant to the assessment of real property in New Hampshire.
3. (c) The topics listed in (b)(1) and (b)(2) shall be required every other renewal cycle, but may be taken in any renewal cycle.
4. (d) An approved course or workshop taken within a renewal cycle in order to qualify for a higher classification of certification may also be counted as continuing education.

5. (e) Individuals seeking continuing education credit for teaching one or more approved continuing education courses shall receive full credit:

   1. (1) For actual hours taught up to the total credit hours required for continuing education; and
   2. (2) Only once during a renewal period for teaching the same course.

6. (f) When applying to renew a certification, the applicant shall:

   1. (1) Certify on the renewal application that the applicable continuing education requirements have been met; and
   2. (2) Be subject to the audit provisions of Plc 308.04.
7. (g) Any individual holding a NHAAO professional designation certificate may request to have attendance at NHAAO continuing educational components verified in writing by the NHAAO certification committee and sent directly to the OPLC.
8. (h) Self-directed education from a qualified entity shall qualify as continuing education credits.
