1. (a) The advisory council shall consist of not less than 6, nor more than 10 members, at least one of whom shall be a member of the board.
2. (b) The term of appointment shall be for 3 years and shall be served until the expiration date or until a successor has been named. Should a vacancy occur, a successor shall be appointed to serve the unexpired term.
3. (c) The advisory council shall submit all recommendations to the board for its implementation and/or approval.

4. (d) It shall be the duty of the advisory council to:

   1. (1) Elect from its membership a chairman and a secretary annually;
   2. (2) Recommend to the board the standards and specifications required of programs/courses which might be acceptable for board approval in fulfilling continuing education requirements;
   3. (3) Recommend programs which meet the standards and specifications adopted;
   4. (4) Recommend the number of CEU's granted for the satisfactory completion of approved programs; and
   5. (5) Provide such other assistance to the board necessary in the implementation and maintenance of the continuing education licensure renewal prerequisite.
5. (e) The advisory council shall meet a sufficient number of times annually to properly perform its functions.
6. (f) The advisory council quorum shall be equal to the majority of the council membership.
