If a written request submitted pursuant to Pda 308.01 is denied by the authority, the pilot may request the authority to reconsider its decision and may request a hearing. If the pilot includes a request for a hearing in his or her request for reconsideration, the authority shall provide the pilot with a hearing before the board.
