- (a) For a conveyor or carousel, an owner or operator shall apply for the board’s approval by submitting a form Pas 2 “Application for New Construction, Alteration in Length, Relocation or Modification and Registration of Conveyor or Carousel”, revised 1/2022. The board shall request additional information when necessary to verify compliance with its rules.
(b) In addition to the application required in (a) above, each operator shall submit the following:
- (1) For pre-certified lifts, certification by the manufacturer that the lift conforms to the pre-certified submission;
(2) For lifts that are not pre-certified, the following shall be submitted:
- a. A set of drawings, stamped by a qualified engineer, showing the basic structure, electrical and mechanical systems; and
b. A design parameter specification, stamped by a qualified engineer, showing the allowable operating and installation procedures, such as:
- 1. Passenger spacing;
- 2. Type of passengers;
- 3. Use of recreational devices;
- 4. Location of safety devices;
- 5. Anchorages; and
- 6. Operating and maintenance instructions for the lift system.
- (c) If any variances are requested, the applicant shall submit with the application a description of any variance to the rules, regulations, and code of the New Hampshire tramway with justification.
- (d) The owner or operator and the designer of the rope tow shall sign the application form. By signing the form, the applicant shall certify that all information provided in the application is true and accurate.
