(a) Applicants for initial licensure as occupational therapists or occupational therapy assistants shall meet the requirements described below:
- (1) Be at least 17 years of age;
(2) Be of good moral and professional character, as evidenced by:
- a. The answers to the questions from the application form; and
- b. The results of the criminal history records check required by RSA 328-F:18-a;
- (3) Have successfully completed an academic program in occupational therapy accredited by the American Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or its successor organization or be NBCOT-certified; and
- (4) Have complied with the continuing competence requirements set forth in Occ 303.02, if they are applicable.
- (b) Applicants for initial licensure as occupational therapists or occupational therapy assistants who are licensed in another jurisdiction with substantially similar requirements as defined in Plc 313.43 shall apply for an initial license as required by Plc 313.03 through Plc 313.05.
- (c) Based on the board’s determination pursuant to RSA 332-G:7, no military experience is applicable to the education of occupational therapists or occupational therapy assistants. Military experience shall not be considered when determining whether an applicant meets the educational requirements for licensure.
