- (a) The board shall be comprised of 13 members who meet the applicable eligibility requirements of RSA 326-B:3, II to VI, and are appointed pursuant to RSA 326-B:3, VIII.
(b) As required by RSA 326-B:3, I, membership of the board shall include:
- (1) Six registered nurses, 2 of which are advanced practice registered nurses;
- (2) Two licensed practical nurses;
- (3) Three licensed nursing assistants, one of which is a medication licensed nursing assistant, if possible; and
- (4) Two public members.
- (c) The board shall form standing or ad hoc committees to accomplish the board’s functions.
(d) In December every 2 years, the board shall elect one member to serve as chair and one member to serve as vice chair and shall serve as follows:
- (1) The chair shall preside over the board’s meetings, establish the order of its business, and approve the actions of the administrator, consistent with the policies of the OPLC; and
- (2) The vice-chair shall assume the duties of the chair in their absence.
- (e) No member of the board shall serve as chair or vice-chair of the board more than one consecutive 2 year term. The vice-chair shall be authorized to move to the chair position for an additional 2 year term if the board chooses to elect that individual as chair.
