- (a) The board of nursing shall consist of 13 members appointed by the governor and council, pursuant to RSA 326-B:3.
(b) The board shall adopt rules relative to:
- (1) Standards for nursing practice;
- (2) Criteria for nursing education programs;
- (3) Criteria for initial licensure, license renewal, and the reinstatement of licenses for registered and practical nurses, advanced registered nurse practitioners, and nursing assistants;
- (4) Criteria for certifying licensed nursing assistants to administer medication;
- (5) Ethical and professional standards for the practice of licensees;
- (6) The determination and enforcement of disciplinary action against all individuals found in violation of RSA 326-B or the rules adopted by the board;
- (7) The implementation of the nurse licensure compact set forth in RSA 326-B:46; and
- (8) Any other matters necessary for the proper administration of RSA 326-B.
