1. (a) Within 12 months of the filing of the application form, the candidate shall submit the required supporting documents as described in Nuh 301.01 or he or she shall be terminated as a candidate, and so notified, by the board by certified mail unless an extension of time was granted by the board prior to the expiration of the one year period.
2. (b) An extension of time shall be granted by the board upon a written request from the candidate with documentation that clearly demonstrates that the candidate is actually pursuing the completion of the licensing requirements.
3. (c) Only one such extension shall be granted by the board, and in no instance shall such extension be for more than one additional year.
