1. (a) The curriculum shall include:

   1. (1) A minimum of 1000 clock hours of basic science instruction described in (b) below; and
   2. (2) A minimum of 1200 clock hours of clinical science instruction described in (c) below.

2. (b) Basic science instruction shall be a core program requiring each student to demonstrate competence in each of the following substantive content areas:

   1. (1) Human anatomy;
   2. (2) Physiology;
   3. (3) Biochemistry;
   4. (4) Pathology;
   5. (5) Pharmacology; and
   6. (6) Pharmacognosy.

3. (c) The clinical sciences program shall:

   1. (1) Prepare students to diagnose the causes of human ailments and treat them using naturopathic medications and other naturopathic methods; and

   2. (2) Include the following courses:

      1. a. Diagnostic courses including:

         1. 1. Physical;
         2. 2. Clinical;
         3. 3. Laboratory; and
         4. 4. Radiological;

      2. b. Therapeutic courses including:

         1. 1. Botanical medicine;
         2. 2. Homeopathy;
         3. 3. Nutrition;
         4. 4. Naturopathic physical medicine; and
         5. 5. Psychological counseling; and

      3. c. Specialty courses including:

         1 Organ systems;

      4. 2. Cardiology;
      5. 3. Dermatology;
      6. 4. Endocrinology;
      7. 5. Eyes, ears, nose, and throat;
      8. 6. Gastroenterology;
      9. 7. Orthopedics;
      10. 8. Neurology;
      11. 9. Gynecology;
      12. 10. Natural childbirth;

      13. 11. Obstetrics;

          l2. Pediatrics;

      14. 13. Geriatrics;
      15. 14. Jurisprudence; and
      16. 15. Medical emergencies.
