1. (a) The midwifery council shall recognize as continuing education a midwife's teaching a midwifery course at:

   1. (1) A college or university accredited by an accreditor listed in Mid 405.02(a)(2); or

   2. (2) A conference or other event:

      1. a. Offering contact hour credit for the course taught; and
      2. b. Approved by an accreditor listed in Mid 405.02(a)(2).
2. (b) The midwifery council shall credit the midwife with 2 contact hours for each clock hour of teaching, to a maximum of 4 contact hours, provided that, if the midwife gives substantially the same course more than once, the council shall credit the midwife for only a single presentation of the course.
