- (a) An initial or renewed certificate to practice midwifery shall be valid for 2 years if application for its renewal is made timely and completely in accordance with these rules.
- (b) Pursuant to RSA 326-D:11, if a renewal application is made timely and completely, the certificate to be renewed shall not lapse until the council has taken final action upon the application.
(c) If a renewal application is not made timely and completely and therefore the midwifery council cannot take action on it before the expiration date of the certificate to be renewed:
- (1) The certificate to be renewed shall lapse; and
(2) The midwife shall not practice until:
- a. The certificate has been reinstated pursuant to Mid 403; or
- b. The midwife has been newly certified in accordance with the procedures and eligibility standards set out in Mid 300.
