(a) The associate or bachelors degree in accordance with Mhp 301.08(a) shall include areas of study that includes components of the following:
- (1) Human growth and development;
- (2) Abnormal psychology or psychopathology;
- (3) Clinical counseling theories;
- (4) Clinical counseling techniques;
- (5) Social and cultural foundations;
- (6) Group work;
- (7) Professional orientation and ethics of mental health counseling;
- (8) Career and lifestyle development;
- (9) Screening and assessment;
- (10) Research and program evaluation; and
- (11) Addictive behaviors.
