Terminology used in these standards shall be as defined herein or when not defined herein shall refer to the 1978 revised edition of "Definitions of Surveying and Associated Terms" as prepared by a joint committee of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping and the American Society of Civil Engineers as specified in Appendix B.
