1. (a) The commissioner or the commissioner’s designated representative shall grant a request for an expedited hearing upon review of a petition setting forth facts in sufficient detail to support expedited scheduling of a hearing.
2. (b) Reasons for expedited hearing requests shall include, but are not limited to, economic hardship, medical emergency, or other circumstances in which a delay of a hearing would cause irreparable harm to any party to the hearing.
3. (c) The opposing party may respond with objection to the request for an expedited hearing, propose a reasonable timeframe for the expedited hearing, or request a continuance in accordance with Lab 203.05 following receipt of a notice scheduling an expedited hearing.
