1. (a) The adult family care provider shall maintain the health and safety of all household members to minimize the possibility of accident or injury when providing the following services and supports:

   1. (1) Food services, as described in He-P 813.17;
   2. (2) Medication services, as described in He-P 813.18;
   3. (3) Housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance services, as described in He-P 813.19;
   4. (4) Sanitation services; pursuant to He-P 813.04(i);
   5. (5) Activities designed to engage the resident to sustain and provider physical, intellectual, and social and spiritual well- being including those described in He-P 813.04(h);

   6. (6) Assistance in arranging appointments, including:

      1. a. Reminding the resident of appointments; and
      2. b. Providing transportation to and from appointments; and
   7. (7) Supervision of residents with cognitive deficits that might pose a risk to themselves or others if the resident is not supervised.
2. (b) For adult family care providers that provide transportation, the adult family care provider shall maintain current registration and inspection on all vehicles used for the transportation of a resident.
