1. (a) “Central registry” means the state registry that maintains all founded reports of child abuse and neglect established pursuant to RSA 169-C:35.
2. (b) “Department” means the New Hampshire department of health and human services.
3. (c) “Expungement” means the removal of information contained on the central registry that relates to a specific perpetrator’s name and a founded report of child abuse or neglect.
4. (d) “Founded determination” means a specific allegation of child abuse or neglect where the department has determined that there is a preponderance of the evidence to believe that a child has been abused or neglected.
5. (e) “Founded report” means a report of child abuse or neglect where the department has made one or more founded determinations.
6. (f) “Report” means a referral that has been accepted for assessment of alleged child abuse or neglect by the department’s division for children, youth and families.
7. (g) “Type of abuse or neglect” means abuse or neglect as described in RSA 169-C:3, II and XIX, and categorized by type as either sexual abuse, physical abuse, psychological abuse, or neglect.
