1. (a) Any person denied a permit pursuant to Fis 815.01 may appeal the decision in writing to the executive director within 60 days of the denial, including the following information in the written appeal:

   1. (1) Name of the person applying for a permit;

   2. (2) Current contact information of the applicant:

      1. a. Residential address;
      2. b. Telephone number; and
      3. c. Email address, if available;
   3. (3) Species of wildlife requested to be imported, possessed, sold, exhibited, or released; and
   4. (4) Purpose for the request.

2. (b) The executive director shall respond in writing within 60 days of receiving the written appeal to:

   1. (1) Uphold the denial; or
   2. (2) Overturn the denial and grant the permit.
