- (a) For the purposes of this section, “recreational take” means the taking of finfish by any method for personal use only and which are not sold, traded, or bartered.
- (b) The recreational take or possession of Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus) shall be no more than 25 per person per day, with the exception that a person angling from a licensed saltwater for hire fishing vessel may take or possess 50 Atlantic mackerel per day.
- (c) Notwithstanding paragraph (b) above, Atlantic mackerel purchased from a commercial dealer, with proof of purchase, do not count towards the possession limit of 25 Atlantic mackerel per day.
