1. (a) The season for taking brook, brown or rainbow trout by all legal methods shall open on January 1 and close October 15, except in the portion of the river from the boundary of Canaan, VT and Pittsburg, NH downstream to the Main St. bridge in West Stewartstown, NH from January 1st to March 31, during which only single barbless hook, artificial lures/flies shall be used.

2. (b) The daily bag limit for trout through open water shall be 5 fish or 5 lbs., except that:

   1. (1) In that portion of the river from the Samuel Moore dam downstream to the Rte. 18 bridge the daily limit shall be one fish; and
   2. (2) In the portion of the river from the boundary of Canaan, VT and Pittsburg, NH downstream to the Main St. bridge in West Stewartstown, NH, from January 1st to March 31, all fish shall be immediately released.

3. (c) The daily bag limit through the ice shall be 2 fish, except in:

   1. (1) that portion of the river from the Samuel Moore dam downstream to the Rte. 18 bridge the daily limit shall be one fish; and
   2. (2) that portion of the river from the boundary of Canaan, VT and Pittsburg, NH downstream to the Main St. bridge in West Stewartstown, NH from January 1st to March 31, ice fishing shall be prohibited
