1. (a) Upon receipt, all petitions or other documents shall be forwarded by the director to the chair.

2. (b) Within 60 days of receipt by the director, the chair shall examine the petition and notify the petitioner of any apparent errors or omissions. The petitioner may resubmit the completed petition within 30 days of the receipt of the chair’s or presiding officer’s notification. The commission shall deny in writing any untimely petitions.
