The responsibilities of the commission include:

1. (a) Adopting rules pursuant to RSA 21-P:27;
2. (b) Establishing minimum educational and training standards for employment as full-time career fire service personnel;
3. (c) Establishing minimum selection standards for full-time career fire service personnel;
4. (d) Establishing educational and training standards for fire service personnel;
5. (e) Certifying fire service personnel as meeting the educational and training standard;
6. (f) Holding hearings as required by RSA 21-P:29, III(c); and

7. (g) Any other duty or power specified by statute.
