1. (a) Within 10 business days of the receipt of a request to register a docking structure, the department shall:

   1. (1) Determine that the owner has satisfied all of the requirements of Env-Wt 1004.01 and notify the owner in writing of the following:

      1. a. The registration has been accepted;
      2. b. The registration number assigned to the structure(s);
      3. c. The method of displaying the registration numbers on the lakeward end of the registered structures; and
      4. d. The expiration date of the registration; or

   2. (2) Determine that the owner has not satisfied the requirements of Env-Wt 1004.01, and notify the owner in writing of the following:

      a.. The registration has been rejected; and

      b.. The reason(s) that the registration has been rejected.
