The department shall use one or more of the following texts in evaluating the competence of the submitted design:

1. (a) “Timber Construction Manual” by the American Institute of Timber Construction, Sixth Edition, dated 2012, available as noted in Appendix B; or
2. (b) “2018 National Design Specification for Wood Construction” by the American Wood Council, dated 2018, available as noted in Appendix B.
