1. (a) Any person to whom a facility permit has been issued who wishes to renew the permit shall apply for a permit modification under Env-Wq 804.10(c) and submit the permit fee required by Env-Wq 807.04 to the department prior to the expiration of the permit.
2. (b) If the renewal application is submitted prior to the expiration of the permit, the permit holder may continue to operate under the terms of the permit even if a decision on the renewal application has not been made prior to the expiration date.
3. (c) If the renewal application is not submitted prior to the expiration of the permit, the permit holder shall discontinue operations under the terms of the permit and apply for a new permit.
