1. (a) Inlets for spas shall be arranged so as to provide uniform circulation and uniform disinfectant residual.
2. (b) A minimum of 2 inlets shall be provided for each spa, with inlets added as necessary to accommodate the designed flow rate.
3. (c) Spa inlets shall be adjustable to allow for changes in direction of flow.
4. (d) A minimum of 2 outlets shall be provided for each pump in the spa’s circulation system.

5. (e) The outlets shall be:

   1. (1) Separated by a minimum of 3 feet or located on 2 different planes;
   2. (2) Connected to a common pipe through a tee configuration located such that the drains are hydraulically balanced;
   3. (3) Provided with a cover that complies with ANSI/APSP/ICC-16, 2011, available as noted in Appendix B; and
   4. 6. (f) Piping of the spa’s drain outlet shall be capable of handling 100% of the circulation.
7. (g) Each pump shall be equipped with a vacuum and pressure gauge that is separate from the pressure gauge associated with the filter.
