Finished compost shall meet the following requirements:

1. (a) The presence of heavy metals shall not exceed the ceiling concentrations specified in Table 600-1:

2. (b) The presence of salmonella sp. shall not exceed 3 most probable number (MPN) per 4 grams of total solids (dry weight basis);
3. (c) The presence of fecal coliform shall not exceed 1,000 MPN per gram of total solids (dry weight basis); and
4. (d) The presence of man-made inert matter greater than 4mm in size shall not exceed 0.25% of total solids (dry weight basis).
