(a) A political subdivision or other government entity that is in compliance with the hazardous waste rules shall be eligible to apply for a grant from the HWCF for costs associated with:
- (1) The establishment or improvement of household DIY used oil collection centers; and
- (2) The offsite transportation and recycling of household DIY used oil.
- (b) A non-profit organization that focuses on waste management and recycling issues, or a private business that is a registered state motor vehicle inspection station, shall be eligible to apply for a grant from the HWCF for costs to establish a household DIY used oil collection center, provided the organization or business is in compliance with the hazardous waste rules.
- (c) Grant awards shall not exceed $2,500 on an annual basis.
- (d) Political subdivisions that use the same household DIY used oil collection center may combine grant awards, however in no case shall the grant awarded to a household DIY used oil collection center exceed $5,000.
