N.H. Code Admin. R. Env-Hw 104.13
“Mercury-containing device” means any product or component, excluding batteries and lamps, that contains elemental mercury integral to its function and is housed within an outer casing. The term includes but is not limited to thermostats, intact mercury-containing ampules, thermocouples, thermometers, manometers, barometers, sphygmomanometers, electric switches and relays, gas flow regulators, water meters, and electric meters that contain mercury switches or relays.
