Any nitrite sample collected in addition to the routine or confirmation samples for a PWS shall be used to determine compliance if the sample:

1. (a) Is representative of water being supplied to consumers; and
2. (b) Exceeds the MCL for nitrite as specified in Env-Dw 704.02.
