1. (a) Each PWS shall have a maintenance schedule for each of the following:

   1. (1) Wells, reservoirs, and intakes;
   2. (2) Pump stations;
   3. (3) Electrical equipment and controls;
   4. (4) Water storage tanks;
   5. (5) Distribution system;
   6. (6) Water treatment facilities; and
   7. (7) Water meters and instrumentation.

2. (b) The schedule shall be based on:

   1. (1) The maintenance frequencies recommended by the manufacturer, for those components for which such recommendations exist; and
   2. (2) For all other components, the frequencies recommended by the American Water Works Association or commonly used in the water works industry.
