Designation of Emergency Operator or Emergency Contact

(a) The owner of a CWS shall designate another person to take charge of the system in the event that an emergency occurs during the owner or primary operator’s absence.
(b) For CWSs serving 1,000 or more people, the designee shall be a certified operator.
