- (a) Any final design approval for a proposed non-community water system shall expire 4 years after issuance if the pumphouse and 25% or more of the proposed water distribution piping system have not been completed and the water system has not started operation.
- (b) A new design review fee and appropriate design revision shall be required for review and re-approval of lapsed designs.
- (c) A new complete water quality test shall be required for each source for the appropriate parameters listed in Env-Dw 702 through Env-Dw 706 for re-approval of lapsed designs.
(d) To request an extension to a non-community water system design approval, the owner shall submit a written request for extension, including:
- (1) Specific reason(s) why the extension is being sought;
- (2) The new construction schedule;
- (3) Confirmation that no changes have been made to the original approved design; and
- (4) A new water quality test for each source for the appropriate parameters listed in Env-Dw 406.16.
- (e) After reviewing an extension request, if the department finds that the previously approved design will ensure that the project is consistent with all applicable requirements in place at the time the extension request was received, the department shall extend the approval for a reasonable amount of time, under the circumstances, not to exceed 4 years.
