- (a) The owner shall take a water sample from each source and have the sample analyzed for quality by a laboratory accredited by the New Hampshire environmental laboratory accreditation program for the analysis requested. Results from unaccredited laboratories shall not be accepted.
- (b) Water quality for NTNC water systems shall meet the applicable standards established in chapter Env-Dw 700 or shall be capable of meeting these standards with approved treatment.
(c) Wells proposed to be connected to any non-community water systems shall be sampled for:
- (1) Arsenic;
- (2) Total coliform bacteria and E. coli;
- (3) Chloride;
- (4) Copper;
- (5) Fluoride;
- (6) Hardness;
- (7) Iron;
- (8) Lead;
- (9) Manganese;
- (10) Nitrate and nitrite;
- (11) pH;
- (12) Sodium;
- (13) Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS); and
- (14) Radon.
- (d) In addition to the sampling required by (c) above, wells proposed to be connected to a NTNC water system shall be sampled for radionuclides as required by Env-Dw 710.05(c).
- (e) The department shall require testing for additional contaminants if review of available data identifies contamination sources that might contaminate the well.
- (f) The collection date of the samples taken in accordance with (a) above shall be no greater than 6 months prior to the time the final design application is submitted to the department.
- (g) Samples taken in accordance with (a) above shall be taken after at least 3 well volumes have been pumped from the well.
- (h) The owner shall have the laboratory results submitted to the department as originals or copies of the original. Re- typing or re-writing the data shall not be acceptable.
