N.H. Code Admin. R. Env-Dw 405.16
(a) The required atmospheric water storage capacity for a small CWS with only one well shall be based on the permitted production volume (PPV) of the well and the water system’s design flow, as specified in Table 405-3 below:
Table 405-3: Small CWS That Have Only One Source
The water system’s PPV
Minimum atmospheric water storage capacity required
Greater than water system’s peak flow
50 percent of one day’s design flow
Greater than 2.5 times the design flow
75 percent of one day’s design flow
Greater than or equal to 2.0 times the design flow
100 percent of one day’s design flow
Less than 2.0 times the design flow
Not acceptable
(b) The required atmospheric water storage capacity for a small CWS with more than one well shall be based on the PPVs of the wells and the water system’s design flow, as specified in Table 405-4 below:
Table 405-4: Requirement for Atmospheric Water Storage Capacity for Small CWSs That Have More Than One Source
The water system’s PPV with the largest producing well out-of-service
Minimum atmospheric water storage capacity required
Greater than water system’s peak flow
none required
Greater than 2.5 times the design flow
25 percent of one day’s design flow
Greater than 1.5 times the design flow
50 percent of one day’s design flow
Greater than or equal to design flow
75 percent of one day’s design flow
Less than design flow
100 percent of one day’s design flow
(d) No atmospheric storage shall be required if all the following conditions are met:
