- (a) The total source capacity, including all sources, for small CWSs shall be not less than 2 times the system’s design flow based on a 24-hour day.
- (b) For small CWSs that are required to have 2 or more wells, the source capacity with the largest source out of service shall be not less than 50% of the system’s design flow.
- (c) If the design flow exceeds 13,500 gpd, the CWS shall have a minimum of 2 active wells or an interconnection to another PWS approved by the department.
- (d) For new wells, the source capacity shall be the permitted production volume (PPV) approved by the department in accordance with Env-Dw 302 or Env-Dw 305.
- (e) For existing wells with a previously approved PPV, the source capacity shall be the PPV.
- (f) For existing wells without a previously approved PPV, the source capacity shall be based on the documentation submitted by the applicant in accordance with Env-Dw 405.31.
